Thanksgiving Service

DSC_0049Last Saturday I was in Mihaileni for their thanksgiving service.  Every church will have a special service this time of the year, with everyone bring vegetables and fruits, decorating the church.  It is a time to give thanks to the Lord for how He has provided.

I've seen some enormously elaborate decorations and others that are quite simple.  But I love the concept!

How has the Lord blessed me?  Do I truly appreciate the simple blessings that He has given me?  The food on my table?  The roof over my head?  Do I really give thanks each day for my daily bread?

Lord, give me a heart of Thanksgiving...today.
